This is a blog we, Gerrit and Anna Mae's family, started years ago to tell stories of our beloved Opa as he was on his way to be with the Lord. We resurrected it as we got news of Oma's Journey. We are all beyond blessed to know this couple of joy and faith and stories of their lives deserve to be told. We will be posting updates here so share the link!

Choir at First Presbyterian - Dexter
Fellowship, robust singing, prayers for family, community, and country during choir practice are true blessings John and I enjoy every Wednesday night. Gerrit and Anna Mae were such an essential part of our group and true role models. Unwavering faith, joy and gratitude no matter the challenge, and belief in our country under God are the pillars of strength that these two live by. Luke 6:48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. Blessings, John and Melinda Jackson

Dad and Mom have sung in every single church choir since I can remember and it's always been one of their greatest joys of every week! God blessed both of them with beautiful voices and they used the gifts they were given to praise HIM! It was great having your choir in Dexter lead us all in the closing song, When We All Get to Heaven, this past Monday at his Memorial! Great Job! What a day of rejoicing that will be! Thanks for being such a special group of singers! They loved choir! And so do I, I guess I get that from them!
