I am following the blog spot daily but am not blog spot savvy enough to write on it, so here is an lod fashioned email.
You are in my thoughts and prayers every day. Today thoughts of God's glory are strong in my heart. The children's song:
Rise and shine and give God the Glory, Glory,
Rise and shine and give god the Glory Glory,
Rise and shine and give god the Glory, Glory,
Children of the Lord!
The tune has been playing in my head all day. Barb probably knows the song. Jane Vander Deusen introduced me to it when we were teaching Sunday School at the McFarland Church of the Brethren.
"Give God the Glory" song goes on to tell about the animals going on to Noah's ark.
"by twosie, twosies, elephants and kangaroosie roosies." It is fun and lively. Gerrit has such a fun and lively spirit and the faith of a little child. He seems to love his "inner Child" and lets him out to play quite often, after working of course, like in "wrk furst den play."
"Give god the Glory" reminds me of Gerrit. Always thankful to God for his earthly treasures and successes. I believe Gerrit's greatest treasures on earth are
Anna Mae and his family. GOD, FAMILY, WORK, PLAY and of course Mr. America's country the great United States of America.
God bless America, and God bless Gerrit's inner child for bringing so much joy and laughter into our lives.
Gerrit, You'll get there before we doosie, doosie
Tell God we are coming toosie toosie,
We are Children of the Lord.
Love to all,
Jan
